The folks over at CBR reported live from Joe Quesada’s Cup ‘O Joe panel at SDCC to give us a taste of what’s to come in the aftermath of “Avenger Vs. X-Men”. Joining Quesada was Marvel’s head of telelvision Jeph Loeb, SVP of Creator and Content Development C. B. Cebulski, Director of Communications Arune Singh and editor-in-chief Axel Alonso to answer audience questions about the upcoming changes to the Marvel universe.

The panel started by discussing the much talked about Marvel NOW! initiative that will see the landscape of the Marvel universe change come October. “For four moths each week you’ll have one new #1 that will serve as an entry point into the Marvel Universe,” Alonso said, adding: “…this is not a reboot in any way, shape or form.” Singh also added that each #1 cover will include a code for free digital downloads along with activations for Marvel’s AR app that will connect to behind the scenes videos and other Easter Eggs.

Quesada then announced another Marvel “Point One” issue for October which will feature Nick Fury Jr. from the recent “Battle Scars” series. “I have one word: Diamondhead,” added Jeph Loeb, informing the audience to “Google it.”

Next up was “Avengers + X-Men” which Alonso said is to be the opposite of “AvX: Versus”. Jeph Loeb, Dan Slott, Ron Garney and Dale Keown will be the creative team for the title.

The panel then went on to reveal “Avengers Vs. X-Men: Consequences”, a five-issue series by Kieron Gillen which examine the fallout from “AvX”.

Also shown was an image for Skottie Young’s “Avengers Vs. X-Men: Babies” before the panel opened up to the floor for questions.
