While Marvel Studios’ plans for their films past Joss Whedon’s record breaking Avengers film have been kept under wraps, the curtains have finally been thrown back by Executive Editorial Director Ryan Penagos, best known by his pseudonym Agent_M.

First up is the news that Thor 2 now has the offical title Thor: The Dark World and will be released November 8 2013. The film will be directed by Game Of Thrones‘ Alan Taylor, replacing Kenneth Branagh from the first film.

Then there’s the news that fans everywhere should be excited about and that’s that Captain America 2 has the official title Captain America: The Winter Soldier and will be released 4 April 2014. The Russo Brothers, best known as directors for the TV show Community, will be taking the reigns from Joe Johnston as directors.

And then there’s the confirmation fans have been waiting years for: Edgar Wright’s Ant Man film is official! While no details have been confirmed as yet, test footage has been shot and was shown to the crowd at SDCC to an enormous reaction.

And finally, to cap it all off, Marvel Studio’s mystery 2014 film has been officially announced as Guardians Of The Galaxy with a 1 August 2014 release date.
