SDCC 2012: Schulner and Ryp’s Clone Joins The Skybound Line

As revealed at IGN, it looks like Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment has a new comic lined up: “Clone”, by David Schulner and Juan Jose Ryp.

“Clone” tells the story of “a man that wakes up to discover multiple versions of himself that have inserted themselves in his life — including kidnapping his wife,” which sounds like a hyper-violent mash-up of “Hell Yeah” and “Infinite Vacation.” With Ryp on board for art duties, however, you can expect the book to be quite jam-packed with gruesome details and clones galore. Schulner, on the other hand, is a TV vet who fans may know from The Event, so with Kirkman making an effort to blur the line between TV and comics lately one could probably assume to see more announcements like this soon.

“Clone” #1 hits stands in November.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
