Coming off the success of “Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, DC and IDW and have announced two new crossover series slated for later this year.
After the success of “Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “The Spectrum War”, DC and IDW have announced new series combining the same franchises. In November, “Batman/TMNT Adventures” will combine Batman: The Animated Series with Nickelodeon’s current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. The book will be written by Matthew K. Manning (a writer on Beware The Batman) with art by Jon Sommariva.
The second series will be a direct sequel to “Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War”. The previous creative team of Mike Johnson and Angel Hernandez will return for this series that promises to introduce even more cosmic threats. This series is expected to be released in the winter of this year.
I’ve read both of these crossovers and each one was very enjoyable in different ways. I’m really excited by the new Batman/TMNT crossover since it’s going to look at different versions. IDW has some amazing licenses and they know how to use them effectively.
