Sean Gordon Murphy’s Rejected Batman Story

Today, on Twitter, Sean Gordon Murphy tweeted a link to his pitch to DC for an 8-page Elseworlds story. We have the image below, but it is amazingly compressed for space. If you click this link, you can download the full image, as well as get the full story behind the pitch. Here is an excerpt:

About a year ago, I pitched my own story that got rejected. And to be honest, I was 90% sure it was going to be rejected. And you can see why. The editor is a friend whom I respect greatly, so I took a chance and sent him this. An 8 page Batman story doesn’t come around very often, and because many of the stories tend to be “Elseworld” like, I didn’t think there would be any harm in trying to do something COMPLETELY different.
