Anyone who has seen the Walking Dead on AMC is able to agree on perhaps just one thing about the show: that Daryl is the best around. Now it’s time for you to be the best around, and nothing’s ever going to keep you down.
The second Walking Dead game (after Telltale’s quite excellent five-part adventure), Activision is developing a new videogame subtitled “Before Hell On Earth” in which players get to play as Daryl before the events of the show as Daryl and his brother Merle attempt to make their way through the zombie wasteland towards the “safety” of Atlanta, where season one began. A first person shooter, the game will attempt to boast realistic zombie tropes, including scarce resources and events based on character decisions (similar to the Telltale game, but assumedly darker due to the Dixon’s harsh personalities).
The game is set to debut next year. In the meantime, watch the trailer above and keep your eyes posted to The Walking Dead Begins (dot com), which will serve as a hub for news of the game.
