A book we’ve long had an affinity for (as you can see in our annotations series), Michael Moreci and Steve Seeley’s “Hoax Hunters” is coming back after a hiatus, but this time with a different publisher. Once an Image title, the creator-owned series will now be releasing its second season at one time giant Heavy Metal’s newly reorganized publishing company.
Under the ownership of film, TV and music’s David Boxenbaum and Jeff Krelitz, the duo is trying to find excellent and original concepts from varying mediums to develop as cross-platform (film, TV and merchandising) stories, and they clearly see “Hoax Hunters” as a project with significant promise. We’ll see what’s next, but it’s good to know that they have a new home, and congrats to Moreci and Seeley. Looking forward to seeing who the artist is on the project, as the series has already went through a couple different ones on the book.
