SHIELD Movie Down The Road, According To Nick Fury Himself

According to a report at Cinema Blend, Samuel Jackson appeared on the radio show Radio Big Boy in order to let a Marvel cat out of it’s figurative bag. To quote Mr. Jackson,

The Avengers should start shooting some time next year, and then some time after that there’ll be a big S.H.I.E.L.D. movie.

Well, how about that? We know that Sam Jackson is signed on for nine movies as Nick Fury. We’ve seen him appear in two Iron Man movies, with the promise of an appearance in assumedly three Avengers movies. Why not a new SHIELD movie? We have seen what that could be like. For those that saw Iron Man 2, Nick Fury made allusions to how SHIELD was formed – including Tony Stark’s father – and it could help to round out this film version of the Marvel universe.

Now, obviously this is not set in stone. There is no official statement or even an IMDB page (OR IS THERE?), but with Sam Jackson, anything is possible. He’s in everything.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
