Note: not the cover to X-Club #1

Ever since Uncanny X-Men #512, I’ve longed for an X-Club title. Ever since Si Spurrier wrote X-Men Second Coming Revelations: Blind Science #1, I’ve longed for an X-Club title written by Si Spurrier.

Marvel clearly listened. A bit of a delayed reaction, but they still listened!

Starting in December, Marvel will be releasing a brand new X-Club mini, written by Si Spurrier and illustrated by Paul Davidson. Running at $2.99 per issue, the book will be five issues long and, with any luck, might mean more X-Club stories in the future (providing you all pre-order your copies today when you go to pick up your comics — so do it).

The solicit reads as follows:

In the wake of SCHISM, the X-Men’s Science Team takes it upon themselves to make a gesture of goodwill on behalf of mutantkind and better the world…using SCIENCE. But just as construction of the X-Club’s state of the art space elevator nears completion, chaos erupts! And it appears to the world that mutants are to blame. Can Dr. Nemesis, Madison Jeffries, Kavita Rao and Danger clear the X-Men’s name before their experiment backfires? Don’t miss this new limited series that will surely change how you look at the X-Men and the Periodic Table of Elements FOREVER!

Look for this book in December, and be sure to add it to your pulls now. The more X-Club, the better.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
