Perhaps one of the best web comics of recent memory, Cameron Stewart’s “Sin Titulo” saw many delays due to a variety of reason. Described by Stewart as “dark, neo-noir semi-autobiographical mystery thriller concerned with dreams, family, and memory,” the 2009 Joe Shuster Best Webcomic Award Winning strip get chugging along despite Stewart’s attention being called elsewhere and it recently wrapped up after five years and 160 pages. And wouldn’t you know it, that means time for a collection.
As Stewart revealed, the book is set to be collected by Dark Horse Comics in 2013. Fans who picked up the collected “Bucko” know how great Dark Horse’s webcomic collections come out, and with this book being printed in landscape format you can be sure that the nature of the original comic will remain in tact. Stewart has also noted that he plans to tidy up lettering and coloring in some of the strip, and that there will be foreign language editions on the way as well.
As Stewart wrote,
Many people have opined that I should have gone through Kickstarter rather than a publisher, but I actually agreed to publish through Dark Horse a couple of years ago, before Kickstarter had shown itself to be a viable means of funding. From my conversations with Dark Horse it’s clear that they really love the story and will do their utmost to produce a beautiful, high quality book. I think Kickstarter is for the most part a great means of funding projects, and I may still use it in the future for another comic, but for now I am very comfortable and confident that Dark Horse is the best home for Sin Titulo. I hope you will agree.
You can read the entire comic online for free now, or get psyched for the upcoming collection. No matter which way you read, just make sure you do.
