At this rate,”Spider-Verse” tie-ins will comprise a full quarter of the shelf space at local comic stores.

“Spider-Verse”, the upcoming crossover featuring literally every Spider-Man to ever exist not only had the cover to its first issue revealed today (drawn by Giuseppe Camuncoli as seen above), but is getting even more tie-ins. In addition to the already announced “Edge of Spider-Verse” featuring Gerard Way’s Neon Genesis Evangelion style “SP//dr”, this November we’ll see the releases of “Spider-Verse Team-Up” and “Scarlet Spiders”.

According to ComicsAlliance, “Spider-Verse Team-Up” will be written by Christos Gage and other writers known for their work on the web-head and feature various matches between Spider-Men both old and new, including confirmed characters Miles Morales and Spider-Ham. The concept of “Spider-Verse” seemed like a fun idea from the start so it’s great to see Marvel really embracing that fun with a potentially silly miniseries. We can only hope they team up our favorites: Toei Spider-Man, Italian Spider-Man, and Spider-Meme.

If Marvel’s looking for anyone to write that issue, I’ll do it for -$10. I’ll pay you a sawbuck to let me do this, Marvel. Please.

In addition to “Spider-Verse Team-Up” we’ll also see “Scarlet Spiders” written by “Transformers” writer Mike Costa and Paco Diaz from the recent volume of “X-treme X-Men”. The comic will involve recent fan favorite Kaine as well as the other clones of Peter Parker: Ben Reily and Ultimate Jessica Drew. In other news, Ben Reily is back!

No one tell him how his career goes post-1995.

While we avoid direct eye contact with Ben, take a look at the “Scarlet Spiders” cover by Mark Bagley below!

“Spider-Verse” kicks off this August with its two tie-ins, “Spider-Verse Team-Up” and “Scarlet Spiders”. Multiversity will keep you updated on all news coming out of San Diego Comic-Con International!
