More news out of the Marvel camp today as the next Avenger is revealed: Spider-Woman! This should really not be a surprise to anyone considering Bendis is writing the book and he loves the character, and for the fans who have grown attached to her since she was brought to the frontlines in New Avengers are no doubt pleased. I can say that I definitely am, considering I’ve been following the character intently in New Avengers, and I own every issue of both Spider-Woman: Origin and Spider-Woman. It’s nice to see she’s not going anywhere.
This image also goes to show us that the Heroic Age picture released is not necessarily the Avengers line-up everyone assumed it would be. Spider-Woman wasn’t present at all on that issue, which leads me to believe that that teaser is not all we would have originally assumed it to be.
