Marvel Comics have announced their latest ongoing series, “Spider-Woman” by writer Karla Pacheco (“Fearless”) and artist Pere Perez (“Spider-Verse”). The series places Spider-Woman back in her classic costume following her redesign in Dennis Hopeless’s run.

The comic shows a thrill-seeking Spider-Woman who has been feeling out of sorts and goes on a dangerous mission to try remedy this. However, she ends up placing herself in the crosshairs of a dangerous new foe as her past and her present converge.
“I love Spider-Woman, and I’m incredibly excited to share this series with both new and old Jessica Drew fans alike,” Pacheco said. “This is big, can’t miss, over-the-top action, some very surprising ‘venom blasts from the pasts,’ and also a TON of helicopter explosions. It’s a super fun adventure with a lot of twists and turns…and seriously, so many helicopter explosions. We’re taking Jess bigger and badder than she’s ever been before, and I can’t wait for readers to see what we’ve cooked up.”
It’s yet to be seen whether some of Jessica Drew’s latest developments, like her relationship with reformed villain Porcupine or her newborn son, will be addressed in this new series.
“Spider-Woman” #1 goes on sale in March 2020 with a cover by Junggeun Yoon.
