OK, last piece of news for now. It’s a quicky, anyway, albeit still cool.

Announced from Marvel at SDCC, the build-up that Remender has been putting into his “Uncanny Avengers” series towards the inevitable Thor-centric ‘Rangarok NOW!’ storyline will have a super special all-star artist behind the wheel: Steve McNiven. McNiven has been hopping around Marvel books for a bit now, starting with “Captain America’s” re-launch around the time of the movie and illustrating a few issues of “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and now in November McNiven will be illustrating this event-sized arc for Remender’s latest series.

McNiven is a great artist. He’s good at illustrating on an epic scale, especially at Marvel, and his work on “Old Man Logan” or “Civil War” will attest to that. While I kind of wish he’d be on a book and stay on it as a consistent collaborator, it’s nice that he’s still getting big fun epic storylines like this assumedly will be to bring to life. Remender and McNiven seem like a pretty dynamite creative collaboration.

And that ominous teaser. How about that, eh? Suppose something bad might happen?

Haha, I’m kidding! It’s a Rick Remender series — of course something bad will happen! NO ONE IS SAFE!

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
