Remember that time Captain America died? Yeah… that was sad… but now Steve Rogers is back, so everything’s ok because his shooter was put in jail! Right? Well, for those following Thunderbolts by Jeff Parker, you’ll know that Crossbones has been made a member of the team. That’s right – the man that shot Captain America with a sniper rifle is now on a team of heroes.
I suppose some of us (or really, just me) were wondering how long this would play out before something bad would happen and heads would class. Apparently the answer to that question is November, thanks to the teaser shown here. Avengers vs Thunderbolts is coming, but what’s most interesting is that despite the logo being the Bendis written Romita Jr drawn Avengers title, we have Steve Rogers instead of Bucky. This is incredibly appropriate, and should result in an interesting little arc.
We don’t know where this will take place yet, but I think it’s safe to assume it’ll be a crossover at this point. Look for Steve Rogers to finally get some revenge in November.
