Sullivan’s Sluggers Gets Mailed Out, Is Now For Everyone

As confirmed by Mark Andrew Smith on Twitter, those of you who backed “Sullivan’s Sluggers” on Kickstarter will be getting your books in the mail quite soon. Hooray! A giant over-sized hardcover full of glorious, glorious James Stokoe artwork! I believe this is what Hobbits call Second Christmas.

But wait. There’s more.

Earlier in the book’s lifespan, remember the whole “if you don’t back the Kickstarter, you won’t get the book” thing? Well, it looks like that is no longer the case. I guess the Kickstarter made so much money that Smith was able to make more copies of everyone that was part of the Kickstarter, and now you can order all of Smith and Stokoe’s baseball horror comic online. That’s right: the book, the shirts, the iPad cover – whatever you want! The catch, however, is that it all costs a little more. Where Kickstarter folks got the book for $30 in all its oversized glory, it now costs $35 (plus shipping) to get the book. But, really, that’s a small price to pay for a 200 page deluxe omnibus-sized 3.5 lbs hardcover with a slipcase, a print on the inside front, a baseball card sheet in the back, a bound dangling ribbon and a three-page monster gate-fold.

Might be time to get that copy you might’ve passed on getting the first time around, eh?

Here’s the blurb on the book for those unawares:

Sullivan’s Sluggers is a baseball horror graphic novel written by Mark Andrew Smith with art by James Stokoe (Orc Stain).

Long past their former glory, the minor league Sluggers get an invitation to play a baseball game in a cursed small town. After the 7th inning stretch, the sun goes down, and the dysfunctional teammates find themselves fighting for their lives against a town of flesh-eating monsters!

Now, it’s up to coach Casey Sullivan to help his team escape from being the next dish in the town’s terrifying feeding frenzy!

Eisner & Harvey Award-winning graphic novel author Mark Andrew Smith joins forces with Eisner nominated illustrator James Stokoe for a gripping roller coaster of a graphic novel, packed with shocks, gore, and screamingly outrageous humor, when America’s Favorite past time becomes one team’s ultimate nightmare!
