Caanan Grall is one of my favorite creators in the industry, and it’s not just because he is an extremely talented (and Eisner nominated!) creator, but because the guy is one of the nicest people around – period.
That said, his web comic Max Overacts is on my must read list, coming out thrice weekly and telling a serialized yet easily standalone tale of a boy whose imagination never ceases to operate on full go and those who have to deal with his shenanigans. It’s a great comic, and Caanan is now looking to put together a print volume of the first 142 Max comics PLUS 12 exclusive to print comics featuring Max’s sister Andromeda. He’s using IndieGoGo to try and develop funds for that project, and it is now up-and-running.
There are all kinds of great rewards for those who contribute, but the simple reason as to why you should contribute is this: comic fans should support great comics. And that is exactly what Max is. I’ll be contributing soon, and I hope you all will be soon as well!
