Unfortunately due to circumstances out of their control, current artist of “Hoax Hunters” Tristan ‘T-Rex’ Jones will be departing the series, to be replaced by Christian DiBari.

As series writer Michael Moreci writes:

Due to personal issues, T-Rex Jones will be leaving Hoax Hunters after issue #12. Steve and I are sad to see him go, but we wish him nothing but the best in his future work. T-Rex has been an amazing collaborator that has brought an indelible style to the book. Unfortunately, with the circumstances in his life right now, he can’t continue his scheduled work. It was a tough decision—though one we all agreed on—to have Tristan exit the book rather than have it delayed indefinitely with just one issue in season one remaining.

Replacing T-Rex will be Christian DiBari, an amazing artist and great friend. Christian recently completed work on Anathema #4 and an unannounced project. Steve and I couldn’t be happier working with Christian and can’t wait to see him not only bring the Hoax Hunters characters to life in his own way, but bring this final season to its great finale. You can check out a sample of Christian’s Hoax Hunters work below.

Issue #12 is behind schedule, though we hope to see it release in late November with #13 to follow soon after. Thanks, as always, for reading!

Be sure to get caught up with the series and our behind-the-scenes look at every issue in the meantime.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
