Taco Bell Gets Some Marvel Comics

Now at your local Taco Bell, you can stop in and get a kids meal as well as one of four exclusive Marvel comics from the company starring X-Men (with Nightcrawler!), the Fantastic Four (with the Human Torch!), the Avengers, and the Invincible Iron Man. While there are no reports of these comics being canon in anyway, they do actually all sound pretty good (and if you don’t want a kid’s meal, I’m told you can get the comics by “donating” a dollar).

The books were all edited by Multiversity favorite Nate Cosby, and the rundown of titles is this:

  • Invincible Iron Man — Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener
  • Fantastic Four — Paul Tobin and Craig Rousseau
  • Avengers — Joe Caramanga and Derec Donovan
  • X-Men — Alex Zalben and Tom Grummett

The comics also all feature one page comics by Colleen Coover, who you might currently know from Top Shelf 2.0’s Gingerbread Girl.

So the real question here is – who doesn’t want an Iron Man comic by Team Robo? I suppose now is as good a time as any to go get a Spicy Chicken Crunch Wrap Supreme, no?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
