As we all know, Batman and Robin will lose it’s founder Grant Morrison in a couple issues. As Morrison goes on to write Batman Inc., Batman and Robin will instead continue on with a new team, though still starring Damian Wayne and Dick Grayson. And who is taking over for Morrison and his entourage of artists?
Patrick Gleason and Peter Tomasi, smash hit behind Green Lantern Corps!
But you already knew that. What you don’t know is what it’s going to look like. So today, DCU’s the Source posted a quick look at Gleason’s designs of Batman and Robin which will adorn the cover of issue #17 that comes out in November! How exciting.
But that’s not all. Over at Newsarama, which is very enlightening as to what to expect from their book:
Their dynamic is evolving and growing. There’s still a lot to explore in their relationship and how they view each other, but the basis of their interpersonal and crime-fighting foundation was nicely set up by Grant, so there’s no reason to deviate from it. These are two very different people, they think differently and they kick-ass differently.
Also, the fact that Bruce is back from his ‘travels’ so to speak, is going to affect Damian in many ways. This is a kid who, in the space of a very short time, learned Bruce was his father, started to develop a relationship with him, had him die, and now has him suddenly back from the ‘dead’. An emotional rollercoaster for any kid, to say the least.
