Arguably one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, especially in the wake of the relatively phenomenal Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Origins comes out this week on Friday (giving you enough days to finish playing Lego Marvel). In anticipation of the game, WB Games has released a 17-minute video of the gameplay for you to whet your appetite on.

Discussed by Ben Mattes, Senior Producer of the game, and Michael McIntyre, the gameplay director, the gameplay is pretty much similar to Arkham City, both in terms of the exploration of the city and its architecture as well as the more traditional gameplay present in this type of game (let alone the series). However, the moodiness and the smoothness of the game is definitely improved, the combat against the cops is rather intense and, hey, do you like bat caves? Because if you do, hold on to your bat-butts, because this is going to be a wild bat-ride.

Arkham Origins is in stores this Friday, just in time for your weekend for all major systems. Get your Nolan on.

Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
