AMC is teasing the crap out of it’s new Walking Dead show, and today we get the first look at Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes. This scene of course looks a tad bit familiar to those that know the comic book, and it’s appropriate for AMC to show this out there as it is a rather early scene in the story (although a tad bit different, if memory serves).
Lincoln doesn’t exactly look like Grimes does to me, but then again Grimes has gone through a rather dramatic transformation since we were first introduced to him seven years ago. Walking Dead writer Robert Kirkman fully supports this, though, so hopefully that quells any fears others may have. It should be interesting to see how he plays the role, and I can only hope that AMC chooses to go as far into the realm of the dark as the comic book does.
The Walking Dead begins airing in October on AMC.
