Starting in May, DC has announced on the Source blog that they will begin releasing a series of Annuals (only eight months after the New 52 was launched) in the form of giant-sized comics containing more theoretical bang for your buck, and it all starts with the Teen Titans by Scott Lobdell, Tom Defalco and Brett Booth.

Beginning a crossover between Teen Titans, Superboy (both written by Lobdell), Legion Lost (written by Defalco) and the upcoming Ravagers (by Howard Mackie and Ian Churchill), the annual will show off the Colony (NOWHERE’s prison for young heroes), see the Teen Titans battle against the lost members of the Legion, as well as the introduction of the characters who will make up the Ravagers series. Lobdell promises that this “is bound to be the most talked about new series of 2012,” so if you’re a DC fanboy or girl, now would be the time to prep your wallets.

The Teen Titans Annual/Ravagers taste tester will hit in May, with the crossover spilling out from there.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
