It’s been a long time coming, but now thanks to IGN we finally have new details about Telltale’s new videogame based on DC/Vertigo’s “Fables” comic.

While the actual “Fables” branding is not in sight, make no mistake that this is in fact based on Bill Willingham, Lan Medina and Mark Buckingham’s comic. Entitled “The Wolf Among Us,” the game puts players in the shoes of Bigby Wolf, presumably in a similar situation to where the book began – as a detective/sheriff keeping the various Fables stranded in New York unseen from prying eyes and in line. After the success of The Walking Dead game, we can only assume the best for this, and if the way that choices effect the greater outcome of the game is still intact then we can barely wait to play it.

The game is set to debut on XBOX 360, PS3, PC and Mac this summer in episodic installments. Look for more as we learn it.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
