The production company Alcon Television Group, a subsidiary of Alcon Entertainment has purchased the rights to Terry Moore’s critically acclaimed horror series, “Rachel Rising.” The property was the first purchase made by the entertainment company since its inception ten months ago. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Rachel Rising” is Boob Tube bound.

Producers on the project will include Moore himself, Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, and Sharon Hall, as well as Lloyd Levin (a producer of Hellboy and Watchmen) and Ben Roberts (a former production consultant on The Walking Dead).

Published by Moore’s own Abstract Studios, “Rachel Rising” chronicles the journey of a young woman, named Rachel who is solving the mystery of the circumstances preceding her own death. Rachel woke up in a shallow grave, and is now on a mission to find out what put her there. With a strong female anchor, elements of witchcraft, and local history; the series will be an easy fit in the ever-growing horror genre being represented on television.

Currently out to showrunners, sources say the project is already attracting network attention. No casting announcements have been made at this time. Don’t touch that dial, stay tuned for further updates!
