We need a bit of a late pass on this one, but the latest Age of X viral teaser found its way into last week’s Marvel books in the form of yet another “hidden in plain sight” QR code, and it features a few familiar faces…
Accompanying the image was the following…
“In the aftermath of the Decimation, only a fraction of the worldwide mutant population remains at large. These fugitive mutants are believed to be the most powerful…and the most dangerous. To track down and eliminate these threats, the United States government assembles a team of human super heroes. They are called The Avengers.”
This certainly sheds some light onto that blacked out “Age of X Universe” cover now doesn’t it? Props to Marvel on this admittedly exciting and innovative way to not only promote and tease the book, but to bring us deep inside the Age of X universe before the first book hits stands (which, for the record, will be in a few weeks when Age of X: Alpha hits shelves on January 26th, written by Multiversity Favorite Mike Carey and drawn by a slew of top talent!)
