The City Of Abacus Is Coming…

At the time of reading this, you may or may not know of a certain successful British musician and model, VV Brown. What you probably DON’T know is she, like us, is a big ol’ nerd, and enjoys comics and graphic novels. She enjoys them so much that she has actually written one of her own called City Of Abacus, and it’s coming out tomorrow.

City Of Abacus, which is co-written with her friend David Allain, promises to be a tale of conquest, politics, love and mental freedom. I won’t lie – I’m always a bit intrigued when people who don’t normally have experience attempt to make their attempt at writing these books we so love. It can often be rather good (in the example of Jonathan Ross and Gerard Way), although you do have occasions where it comes out fairly poor and as if someone just threw something together as a gimmick (i.e. Fall Out Toy Works. VV Brown seems legit enough, though, and with what little I’ve seen of the comic, it looks like it’ll be good. It appears to be a rather epic story in a unique fantasy world, and I’m always up for a tale like that.

If you are interested in checking out City of Abacus, take a look at their website, which at this moment is just a countdown clock but should reveal more when the timer ends.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
