Apparently, as seen on Comics Alliance, the cover for February’s Marvel Previews features a very ominous cover, as seen here to the left. We actually discussed the rumor that there would be a new Spider-Man back in July, but we’d also sort of forgotten about it since then. Rumors, shmumors, right?
Well, it looks like the Parker luck doesn’t change after all, because despite the upcoming status quo changer of Big Time (which starts today and is on sale now), it looks like Marvel still has Peter in their crosshairs. But why? And when they say death, do they mean “dead dead” or just “metaphorically dead”?
I would really not have Peter Parker/Spider-Man die and/or replaced as he is my all time favorite character. Then again, I’m sure there were plenty of people who said similar things when Grant Morrison killed Batman, and I was on the side lines cheering for that to happen as soon as I heard about it. I suppose this is all my fault.
Either way, begin speculation …. now
