We’ll have our usual look at Marvel solicits on Friday, but we wanted to jump the gun a bit and point out a certain solicit for the month of December:

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #700
DAN SLOTT (w) – HUMBERTO RAMOS (a)
Plus stories by JM DeMatteis & Giuseppe Camuncoli and Jen Van Meter & Stephanie Buscema
Cover by MR. GARCIN
Steve Ditko (Unused Amazing Fantasy 15 Art) Variant Cover
ASM 50TH ANNIVERSARY VARIANT – Marcos Martin
Martin Variant
WRAPAROUND VARIANT – Humberto Ramos
COIPEL VARIANT
QUESADA VARIANT
LAST ISSUE!
All New! 104 PGS./Rated T+ …$7.99

“Amazing Spider-Man” #700 will be the last issue of “Amazing Spider-Man.” There is no solicit text, beyond “All New!”

Doc Ock gets revenge on Spider-Man in #699, and the series ends in #700 — paving the way for something “all new.” Is it time for something… Superior?

I’m happy to place $10 on a bet that whatever Slott and Doctor Octopus have planned, it’ll result in Super Spider-Man. Who’s taking the bet?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
