Man, sixty issues sure flies by these days, doesn’t it? “Scalped” from Jason Aaron, R.M. Guera and Vertigo Comics has been my favorite book of the past five years, and one of the biggest reasons why is the incredible covers artist Jock has thrown down each and every issue. Today at CBR, the cover for the finale, issue #60, was revealed, and it’s a doozy, as we would be apt to guess.

It’s a wonderful callback to the very first issue, brilliantly evoking the color schemes and some of the nearly exact same design choices of that cover. It shows us, as readers, how much and how little everything has changed for series lead Dashiell Bad Horse since those first fateful days on the Rez. I’m not going to lie – I’m bummed out that this series is coming to an end, but I can say this: if the inside of the book is as good as the cover, we’re in for a hell of a thing.
