The cast continues to come together for Marvel and Netflix’s “Daredevil” series, as Elden Henson (“Mockingjay” and, more importantly, FULTON REED FROM “THE MIGHTY DUCKS”) has been cast as Matt Murdock’s best friend, legal partner and all around awesome guy Foggy Nelson.

You ask most anyone and they’ll say Foggy is often the heart and soul of Matt’s world, and while many women have come and gone, let’s be honest: the Fogster is always there. He’s the Man Friday to Matt’s topsy turvy world (which is frequently so because of recent beatings or his dosed with drugs nature), and the biggest stabilizing factor in his world. How will Henson do? I’m not entirely sure, but if Matt needs a vicious slap shot, we now know where to go.

Jeph Loeb commented on the casting:

“Elden plays one of the most important characters in the world of Marvel’s Daredevil, and we’re thrilled to see Foggy Nelson brought to life by such an incredibly talented actor,” said Loeb. “He perfectly captures the heart and soul of this series, bringing an added resonance to Matt Murdock’s fight against the injustice in their great city.”

If Loeb believes in him, we have to, right? Either way, it seems as if this is another solid casting for a show that will have to try pretty hard to be bad (and more than likely will be awesome because Charlie Cox is a beast of a man). There will be more casting news soon, I’m sure, and you will certainly see it here at MC.
