In the fourth teaser for Marvel’s new “Fear” campaign, we’re given a rendition of the Hulk with blood on his hands standing over the fallen bodies of the Avengers. As an additional note, this teaser features Bucky in the Captain America costume, so hopefully it’ll perhaps confuse people like (unlike yesterday’s image). Still, the message here is rather obvious, and while each image so far has been metaphorical in nature I can’t help but wonder if perhaps there is some literal aspect to each picture as Marvel villains are in fact known for strapping our heroes up to various machines to torture and trap them. With the Hulk himself not actually interacting with the Avengers at the moment, perhaps in addition to the metaphorical gleening we could infer some aspect of comic book logic’d literalness?
April is still some time off, but you can probably be assured that what exactly this is will be announced sometime soon (perhaps even tomorrow, true believers).
