The real Catwoman #1 ending |
If there’s one thing to be said for the wonder of the internet, it’s this: when people don’t really like something, they will get online to lampoon it as quickly as they can. Given last week’s controversial first issue of Catwoman (and Red Hood and the Outlaws, to be fair), I don’t think it will greatly surprise anyone that the final scene involving Catwoman going for a ride on Batman in what writer Judd Winick calls “a Catwoman for 2011” ended up less romantically received than DC probably imagined it would’ve been. Which is of course curious, because as far as we can tell Catwoman and Starfire were both Strong Female Characters.
However, all of this is just a long way of saying: awesome people on the internet made awesome reactionary comics, and we’d like to show them to you!
Check after the cut for some of the hilarious responses we found to the Catwoman finale.
