The Japanese X-Men Opening Was The Coolest Thing We Didn’t Get To Watch As Kids

You guys all remember the ’90s X-Men cartoon, right? The one that recently ended up all on DVD that used to air on Fox Kids? We used to all get up early Saturday mornings for it because it was just so darn awesome, and it was basically all your favorite Chris Claremont stories brought to animated life.

Well, apparently when brought overseas to Japan, they decided to make a MUCH cooler introduction. Not that I don’t love the 90’s metal intro, but this is pretty darn amazing. Give it a watch and prepare for some absolute ridiculous anime-esque X-Men, including the crazy hair motion and classic “twang” sounds as Omega Red and Wolverine battle it out.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
