The all-ages comic book publisher, Papercutz, has announced a new series spinning out of their popular series “The Only Living Boy,” entitled “The Only Living Girl.” The new series will be written by David Gallaher and illustrated by Steve Ellis – the same creative team that brought “The Only Living Boy” to life – and consist of five graphic novel volumes, launching in March of 2019.

The series will follow the adventures of Zandra “Zee” Parfitt, Erik Farrell, and Morgan, the mermaid warrior. The first volume will see Zee and her companions embark on an adventure that includes robots, monsters, unknown civilizations and unlikely allies.

Promotion for “The Only Living Girl” began in August alongside promotions for an omnibus collection of “The Only Living Boy,” which came on August 14. The original series followed 12-year old Erik Farell, who ran away from home only to find himself without his memory, stranded on a patchwork planet with danger lurking around every corner. Erik and his allies, Morgan and Thea, had to work together to escape the Dreaded Lord Baalikar and the evil Doctor Once so that, one day, Erik could find his way home.

Other notable works by the creative team include Gallaher’s “Vampire: The Masquerade,” and Ellis’s “The Silencers” which he co-created alongside Fred Van Lente.
