Jessica Jones #18

– Brian Michael Bendis confirmed his final issues for Marvel in 2018 will be February’s “Defenders” #10, March’s “Jessica Jones” #18, and May’s “Invincible Iron Man” #600 and “Spider-Man” #240.

– “She-Hulk” writer Mariko Tamaki confirmed the series will end with #163 in March, adding to the number of ‘Marvel Legacy’ titles canceled less than six months into the initiative.

– Marvel and TapTap comics then announced an app called Marvel: Create Your Own, inviting fans to sign-up to create and share their own comic book stories with pre-rendered models. Despite the cancelation of her title, Gwenpool was front and center in the promotional video.

– Syfy announced Krypton will premiere on March 21. The show developed by David S. Goyer and Damian Kindler will see Superman’s grandfather Seg-El team-up with a time-travelling Adam Strange.

– The upcoming Netflix Original anime film Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters will receive a manga tie-in in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump from March. The comic, which will further explore the world of the film, will be drawn by Youth Kurahashi (“Summer Hero”).

– Santa Monica-based publisher Sitcomics are introducing the Sell-Through Distribution System, where readers can order Binge Books offering 64-page editions of forthcoming story arcs for just $3.99. You can consult a list of participating stores at Newsarama.

– After sexual allegations about screenwriter Max Landis emerged, DC Comics opted to remove a story he created with Francis Manapul for the digital version of 2017’s “DC Universe Holiday Special.” However, the story was almost immediately restored: DC have not commented on either decision.

– With the end of 2017, we asked which comic book dystopia the year most closely resembled. 31% responded with “Transmetropolitan,” the series that many argued foresaw Trump, with 22% opting for the feudal nightmare of “Lazarus” instead.
