– Kicking off, Marvel announced a new “Exiles” comic from “Black Bolt” writer Saladin Ahmed and artist Javier Rodriguez with covers by David Marquez. The new series follows X-Man Blink as she is recruited by the Unseen, Nick Fury Sr., alongside a future Kamala Khan, Iron Lad of the Young Avengers, Wolvie a cartoon Wolverine, and another unannounced character, to save the multiverse. The new series kicks off in April.
– Brian Michael Bendis officially began his new job and contract with DC Comics on Tuesday. Bendis is still wrapping up a few of his titles at Marvel after being in the hospital much of December. His 17 year stint with Marvel will end with “Invincible Iron Man” #600. It is still unclear what titles Bendis will be writing as well as the full nature of his “multifaceted” contract.
– The CW released two new promos for its slew of DC television shows yesterday. The first of which showcases a good number of the heroes from the network suiting up, while the second one is a new promo for the upcoming premiere of Black Lightning. The Arrowverse returns on Monday January 15th with Supergirl, followed by The Flash and the premiere of Black Lightning the 16th, and Arrow the 18th. Legends of Tomorrow will return in February.
– Rosario Dawson is set to reprise her role as Claire Temple in Daredevil season three and Iron Fist season two on Netflix. Dawson has appeared as Claire Temple in every Marvel Netflix show except The Punisher. Both shows are currently filming in New York City, and, while they have no release date, are expected to premiere sometime in 2018.
– Titan Comics is releasing a new graphic novel as a part of their Hard Case Crime imprint from crime novelists Alison Gaylin and Megan Abbott alongside artist Steve Scott. The new OGN titled “Normandy Gold” is a tale of a woman’s rage and vengeance in 1970s Washington D.C. You can check out a trailer for the book as well as some preview pages here. “Normandy Gold” hits shelves April 10th.
