In case you missed it, Image Comics announced they’re bringing back “Section Zero,” Aftershock Comics will debut “The Replacer,” a new graphic novel by Zac Thompson, Arjuna Susini, and Dee Cunniffe, famous comedy duo Laurel & Hardy are making a return to comics, and there’s a trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home. We also talked to Robert Venditti about “Hawkman” #8, out today.

– Colleen Doran is adapting Neil Gaiman’s Snow, Glass, Apples for Dark Horse Comics. Originally a short story released in 1994, Snow, Glass, Apples retells the story of Snow White through the perspective of her not-so-evil stepmother. The book will be released August 7, 2019, and is available for preorder now.

– The Visual Effects Society revealed its nominations for the 17th annual VES Awards, recognizing the best VFX artistry and innovation in film, animation, TV, commercials, and video games. Leading the pack are Avengers: Infinity War, Lost in Space, and Incredibles 2.

– Skybound Games announced the fourth and last installment of The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be March 26, 2019. Described as “gripping and emotional,” players will see main character Clementine’s journey through to the end as she grapples with the choices and consequences of building a new life.

– “Deadpool Max” #3, ‘An Alternate History of Love in America,’ won’t be published trade paperback in Russia for what the state is describing as the promotion of “Nazi propaganda.” The 2011 edition of the series, written by David Lapham with art by Kyle Baker, saw Deadpool go undercover to infiltrate the KKK.

– “Drama,” a 2012 graphic novel by Raina Telgemeier, is being removed by the Ottawa Catholic School Board from its elementary school libraries after parents complained about an LGBT side story in the novel. This isn’t the first controversy to hit the 2013 Stonewall Book Award “Honor Book” winner, which has also been banned from school districts in Texas.

– And finally, The Irish Times and Comics Lab are partnering on Ireland’s first Graphic Short Story competition. The winner will be announced at the Dublin Comics Arts Festival in April and published in the TimesTicket magazine. An anthology of the shortlisted works will also be released.
