-Lion Forge Comics are launching a shared superhero universe titled “Catalyst Prime.” It begins this May, on Free Comic Book Day, with the “Catalyst Prime: The Event” one shot. It will be co-written by Christopher Priest and Senior Editor Joseph Illidge with artwork by Marco Turini and Jessica Kholinne. The next step is to release more titles in the months afterwards. There are to be seven in all by December. Joe Casey, Alex de Campi, Ken lashley, Jefte Palo are just a few of the talents involved.

– Brand new publisher Vault Comics has just recently announced several new titles. They’ve also released preview pages of each book to give a taste of what each of them will be like. There are titles from all different genres, including a supernatural comic called “Fissure” by Tim Daniel and Patricio Delpeche and a classic sci-fi tale called “Colossi” by Ricardo Mo and Alberto Muriel. The latter of which seems like a much darker Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.

– There’s some good news for anyone who watches The Flash TV series: Rick Cosnett, who played Eddie Thawne, recently tweeted that he would be returning to the show. He failed to mention when and how.

– In Archie news, actor Cole Sprouse, who portrays the iconic character Jughead Jones in the upcoming CW series Riverdale, has confirmed to the press that the character will not be portrayed as asexual, as he had hoped.

– Spike’s The Mist TV series will be taking notes from FX’s Fargo, in that it will be a whole new cast of characters in a different setting from the source material. The executive producer, Christian Torpe, said that the show will be taking different routes as to the fit the format of television.

– CBC News posted a very nice article about artist Francis Manapul (“The Flash,” “Detective Comics,” and most recently “Trinity”) He talks about falling in love with comics, how they helped him learn English growing up, and how the medium guided him in dealing with more personal matters.

– For you movie memorabilia fanatics out there: Michael Keaton’s Batman costume and Christopher Reeve’s Superman costume are now up for bid. But as you can guess they are expensive as hell. The Dark Knight is bidding at $40,000 while Big Blue is trailing behind at $35,000.
