In case you missed it, DC announced the “Catwoman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular,” Marvel announced a couple new “Empyre” tie-ins, and Dark Horse revealed three new titles, in advance of their full April solicitations. We also have a look at April’s Mignolaverse titles, and exclusive previews of next week’s “Atlantis Attacks” #1 and “Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen” #2.

– The Beat announced that BOOM! Studios will publish cartoonist Audra Winslow’s (“Tilly and the Tiger”) debut middle grade graphic novel, “Jo & Rus” in September. “‘Jo & Rus’ is a story for anyone that is seeking a friend,” said Winslow, in a statement published at The Beat. “I wrote this story loosely based on personal experiences and feelings, that I not only had as a preteen, but as an adult too. This story is for the lonely doing their best.”
– Writer Jeff Lemire and artist Mike Del Mundo are teaming for an “Immortal Hulk” one-shot titled “Immortal Hulk: The Threshing Place.” According to the solicitation published at Newsarama, “The Threshing Place” will send the Hulk to America’s heartland, where the Jade Giant must rescue a missing child.
– Marvel also announced at Newsarama a two-issue reprint of “X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills,” which will come with a new framing story by creators Chris Claremont and Brent Anderson. “God Loves Man Kills: Director’s Cut” #1 comes out in April.
– Via Twitter, the team behind DC’s upcoming “Strange Adventures” series revealed that Mister Terrific is the series’s secret co-star. The Beat expanded on the news and shared covers and solicitation info for “Strange Adventures” #2.
– Deadline shared a trailer for Dark Horse’s “Bang!,” the Keanu Reeves-endorsed book that is a “high-octane, globe-trotting adventure story full of questionable characters, crime, and questions within questions.”
– The Walking Dead: World Beyond will premiere April 12 and run for only two seasons, according to ComicBook.com. The third The Walking Dead TV series will also reportedly lead into a The Walking Dead movie centered around Rick Grimes.
– SYFY’s adaptation of “Resident Alien” will premiere this summer, according to the network. Click here to see the first 30-second trailer for the series.
– The Hollywood Reporter has heard word that director Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) has been approached to develop a Star Wars movie, according to unnamed sources (who specified neither subject matter nor timeline). Waititi himself responded on Twitter by posting the cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours.
– NBCUniversal revealed the price points and launch dates for their new streaming service Peacock, which can be read in their press release. Revealed in the announcement is that DreamWorks’ animated series Cleopatra in Space (based on Mike Maihack’s graphic novels) will be among the service’s exclusives this year. The Reporter also shared that The Adventure Zone‘s first story arc is being adapted into an animated series for the service.
– And finally, HBO’s Watchmen will not be returning for a second season, reports USA Today. Creator Damon Lindelof has no interest in pursuing a second season, and HBO programming chief Casey Bloys says “[it] would be hard to imagine doing it without Damon involved in some way.”
