– DC Black Label announced “The Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country,” a new ongoing series from writer James Tynion IV, and artist Lisandro Estherren, starring “The Sandman” villain the Corinthian. The series will see the Corinthian being freed to pursue a new nightmare, that wasn’t created by Dream, as well as the introduction of Mr. Agony and Mr. Ecstasy, “a deadly duo of killers slipping along after the Corinthian’s quarry, killing anyone in their path — including, if they can,” the Corinthian himself. It will explore “all the most terrifying corners of America: the collections of True Crime aficionados, white supremacist militia camps, galleries specializing in the art of horror, and more.” Each issue will feature a nightmare sequence from a different guest artist, beginning with Yanick Paquette. The first issue goes on sale Tuesday, April 12.

– Writer Steve Niles (“30 Days of Night”) and Szymon Kudrański (“Spawn,” “The Punisher”) will launch “A Town Called Terror,” a new horror series, at Image Comics this April. Described as a cross between Midnight Mass and Ozark, the ongoing book will follow Henry West, a man who is “brutally kidnapped in the middle of the night while his wife Julie watches, terrified.” As Henry “awakens to the reality of his whereabouts,” Julie, who has “no evidence of the phantom crime,” struggles “to get help to search for him.” Issue #1 releases April 13.

– Hot on the heels of the first trailer for his Disney+ series, Marvel Comics announced Moon Knight will receive his own black-and-white (and red) anthology, in the vein of other miniseries starring Wolverine, Elektra, Deadpool, and Carnage. The four-part “Moon Knight: Black, White, & Blood” will feature stories by Marc Guggenheim and Jorge Fornés, Murewa Ayodele and Dotun Akanda, and Jonathan Hickman and Chris Bachalo, whose story in particular will introduce a new Moon Knight living in the near future. The first issue will go on sale in April, shortly after the Moon Knight TV series premieres on March 30.

– BOOM! Studios announced “Magic: The Hidden Planeswalker,” a four-issue series written by Mairghread Scott, with art by Fabiana Mascolo. It will spotlight the Magic: The Gathering character Liliana Vess, a planeswalker (someone who is able to traverse the multiverse), necromancer, healer, and professor “at the greatest college of magic in the multiverse.” When she senses “the presence of a distant planeswalker calling for help… one with the power to save or destroy entire planes, [it] puts her on a collision course with the diabolical machinations of Tezzeret, the Master of Metal.” Issue #1 goes on sale this April.

– Via Variety, all eight episodes of Amazon’s animated The Boys spin-off Diabolical will be released on March 4. Each 12-14 minute episode will feature their own animation style, and were respectively written by Garth Ennis, Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen, Awkwafina, Eliot and Ilana Glazer, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland & Ben Bayouth, Andy Samberg, and Aisha Tyler. You can watch a (gory) sneak peek here.

– Netflix released the trailer for season two of Raising Dion, the kid superhero show based on the comic by Dennis Liu and Jason Piperberg. It introduces Dion’s new Biona trainer Tevin (Rome Flynn), “who catches [his mother] Nicole’s eye,” and sees Brayden, the boy who bonded with the Crooked Man at the end of the first season, enrolling at Dion’s school. It also reveals the return of Jason Ritter as Dion’s godfather Pat, and teases more powered people joining Dion to battle the Crooked Man’s new army. Raising Dion season 2 will be released on Netflix on February 1.

– Paramount+ announced Star Trek: Picard season 2 will premiere on Thursday, March 3, and that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will debut on May 5 (the same day as Picard‘s second season finale.) Both seasons will run for ten episodes. Furthermore, the streamer announced Star Trek: Discovery, Strange New Worlds, and Lower Decks have been respectively renewed for seasons five, two and four, and that Discovery season 5 will be ten episodes, in line with every other current Trek show. For more details, including a Discovery/Picard overlap and Prodigy‘s schedule, head to Trek Core.
