– Casting decisions and moves for Doctor Strange have been solid, as far as I can tell. Between Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Eijofor, and the rest, there haven’t been any missteps to set the armchair critics into a tizzy. I seem to have missed everything Benedict Wong has been in; a quick search reminds me I have seen Prometheus, but can you blame me for scrubbing that one from the memory banks? But given the pedigree of the previous picks, this is probably another great move. That and the low-hanging headline pun fruit is gold. .

– I think we can all agree the situation surrounding the Grand Prix award for this year’s Angouleme has reached the stage of “le clusterfuque”. The latest developments, including the real possibility that none of the potential winners would accept the award, can be seen here.

– Badass Digest’s Devin Faraci makes the case that WB has their own Kevin Fiege analogue already working at the studio…and his name is Geoff Johns. Agree? Disagree? (And yes I know the site has rebranded as ‘Birth/Movies/Death’, but I like the old name better.)

Grant Gustin continues to be as very Barry-like off-screen as he is during his on-screen portrayal of The Flash.

– Did you watch Legends of Tomorrow last night? Did you check out our very own live Tweet-a-thon by our very own Brian Salvatore? No? Then head on over to this page and rectify that immediately! (Note: the previous link will only help you rectify the second half of that two-part equation.)

– For those of us in the eastern seaboard of the US, staring down the barrel of this year’s Snowpocalypse, I give you this slice of awesomeness to keep your heart (and the rest of you) warm & toasty. Stay safe!

Greg Matiasevich

Greg Matiasevich has read enough author bios that he should be better at coming up with one for himself, yet surprisingly isn't. However, the years of comic reading his parents said would never pay off obviously have, so we'll cut him some slack on that. He lives in Baltimore, co-hosts (with Mike Romeo) the Robots From Tomorrow podcast, writes Multiversity's monthly Shelf Bound column dedicated to comics binding, and can be followed on Twitter at @GregMatiasevich.
