– Marvel Comics announced that the start to the next “Amazing Spider-Man” event will be with a one-shot called “Amazing Spider-Man: Sins Rising” #1. The one-shot will be written by series writer Nick Spencer, with Kim Jacinto illustrating. The solicitation for “Amazing Spider-Man: Sins Rising” #1 detail that the “secret history” of the Sin-Eater will be revealed and he will be set on a collision course with Spider-Man. The Sin-Eater was recently resurrected by Kindred in this month’s “Amazing Spider-Man” #37. “Amazing Spider-Man: Sins Rising” #1 will be released in April.

– Marvel Comics also revealed that “Miles Morales: Spider-Man” #17 will tie into the ‘Outlawed!’ event, with series writer Saladin Ahmed being joined by “Captain Marvel” artist, Carmen Carnero. For those unaware, the upcoming ‘Outlawed!’ event will see a “crack down on underage heroes after a tragedy involving many of them ensues.” “Miles Morales: Spider-Man” #17 will see someone need Miles risking the wrath of C.R.A.D.L.E. “Outlawed” #1 will be released on March 18, with “Miles Morales: Spider-Man” #17 being released in April.

– Meanwhile, Marvel revealed the two-part ‘Iron Man 2020’ tie-in “Ironheart 2020” will be written by Vita Ayala and Danny Lore, with art by David Messina. The miniseries will see Riri Williams and N.A.T.A.L.I.E., the AI based on her deceased best friend, battling both the Robot Revolution, and Arno Stark’s crackdown on artificial intelligence. “Can they weather the coming storm together, or will 2020 tear them apart?” The first issue is out in April, with the second in June, and you can check out the cover by Skan at Women Write About Comics.

– According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios are planning to release Captain Marvel 2 in 2022, and Megan McDonnell, a staff writer on the Disney+ series WandaVision, is in final talks to write the screenplay. The report confirms Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are not expected to return to direct the film, but are in talks for another Marvel project, and that Kevin Feige is looking for a female director: it also states that the sequel will take place in the “present day” (presumably after Avengers: Endgame).

– Dark Horse Comics revealed the Mike Mignola-drawn cover art for two Mignola-verse collected editions: the first was for the “B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know” Omnibus edition, which was revealed exclusively at Horror DNA, the second was for the “Frankenstein Undone” trade paperback, which you can check out at Daily Dead. The “B.P.R.D: The Devil You Know” Omnibus edition collects the three previously released trade paperbacks of the series and will be in comic shops on August 19 and bookstores on September 1. The “Frankenstein Undone” trade paperback will be in comic shops September 16, with a bookstore release on September 29. The first issue of “Frankenstein Undone” is set for release on January 29.

– DC Comics have announced plans for a Dungeons and Dragons sourcebook based on its Black Label title, “The Last God,” titled The Last God: Tales from the Book of Ages. “The Last God” by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Riccardo Federici is set in Cain Annun and takes place thirty years after a band of heroes defeated an army of undead and a god. The series sees the army of undead return to Cain Annun, raising questions over the integrity of the legend. The sourcebook will include “playable races, subclasses, magic items, monsters and more,” as well as maps and illustrations by cartographer Jared Blando. It will be compatible with the 5th edition of D&D and be published under D&D’s Open-Gaming license. The Last God: Tales from the Book of Ages is set for release on April 29.

– Kodansha have revealed their restructuring of Kodansha USA Publishing; Alvin Lu has been named the President and CEO, having previously the General Manager of Kodansha Advanced Media; Takashi Sakuda is the COO; Kiichiro Sugawara is the new Publisher; and finally, Ivan Salazar, who was formerly the PR and Events Specialist at comiXology, will be joining as Senior Marketing Director. Kodanasha is the major Japanese manga and prose publisher behind titles such as “Attack on Titan” and “Battle Angel Alita.”

Deadline reported that Rosario Dawson had been cast in the lead role of the DMZ pilot. DMZ is an upcoming adaptation of Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli’s comic book series of the same name, which sees America in the midst of a second Civil War and Manhattan being declared a demilitarized zone. Dawson will be playing the role of Alma Ortego, a medic who helps those in need in the DMZ while searching for her son. DMZ is being developed by Warner Bros. Televison for HBO Max, with Ava DuVernay directing the pilot, as well as serving as an executive producer alongside showrunner and writer Robert Patino.

THR revealed that “Fear Agent” by Rick Remender, Tony Moore, and Jerome Opena, will be adapted into a series for Amazon. “Fear Agent” tells the story of alcoholic Texas spaceman Heathrow Huston, who goes on a range of sci-fi adventures. David F. Sandberg (Shazam!) will be directing and serve as an executive producer, with Mattson Tomlin writing the pilot. Seth Rogen, along with his Point Grey Productions partners, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver, will be executive producers, as will Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl (all of whom worked on Future Man). Remender and Moore will be executive producers too, with Lotta Losten. Remender has also signed a three-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television, who will be developing the series. There isn’t a release schedule for the series at this time.

– Finally, a trailer for the final season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars was released, with it set to premiere on Disney+ on February 21. The season will “continue the storylines introduced in the original series, exploring the events leading up to Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith,” according to Disney+. It will star Matt Lanter as Anakin Skywalker, Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano, and James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
