– Continuing the Superb Owl yearly tradition of teaser trailers for the coming year’s blockbusters, here is a rundown of the various trailers. Logan, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Stranger Things 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and Transfomers: The Last Knight.
– Image Comics to continue its variant covers, followings its 25 years of Image homage series. The second set of 11 variants are coincide with Woman’s History Month. 100% of the proceedings of the variants are to be donated to Planned Parenthood.
– After a series of delays due health issues, David Sim is set to return to “Cerebus” with a new #1, followed by another #1, and so on each month with a new title. This bold marketing strategy opens with “Aardvark Comics” #1 and “Strange Cerebus” #1
– “Casper the Friendly Ghost” is set to return to comics in May 2017, with Writer/ Artist Marv Wolfman taking the helm. The return of Casper was confirmed by Wolfman and publisher American Mythology Productions, who recently acquired the rights to the series
– Marvel are set to relaunch ”Rocket Raccoon”, as “Rocket” in May to coincide with the summer release of_ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2_. The series is set to return Rocket to space under the creative pairing of Al Ewing and Adam Gorhan.
– Actor Temuera Morrison, best known for his role as Jango Fett and the Clone Troopers in the Star War prequel trilogy, is said to be in talks with Warner Bros. to play Aquaman’s dad in the upcoming Aquaman movie. This comes amidst rumours of early negotiations for Nicole Kidman and Yahya Abdul-Mateen to also join the film.
– Kevin Sorbo is set to join Supergirl, as a yet unknown villain.
