In case you missed it, we have an exclusive preview of next week’s “Murderworld: Moon Knight” #1.

Cover by Ryan Stegman

– Miles Morales will battle Cletus Kasady in the Marvel crossover event ‘Carnage Reigns.’ The seven-part story will kick off on May 3 with “Carnage Reigns Alpha” #1, written by Alex Paknadel and Cody Ziglar, with art from Julius Ohta and others, and end with June’s “Carnage Reigns Omega.” Parts two and three will be featured in “Miles Morales: Spider-Man” #6 (May 17) and “Carnage” #13 (May 31).

– IDW announced a six-issue heist thriller, described by its writer as “John Wick meets Kill Bill meets… well, Cats!” The miniseries is titled “Cat Fight.” GLAAD Media Award-nominee and Eisner-winner Andrew Wheeler writes, with Ilias Kyriazis providing art. Auguste and Dennis Yatras handle inks and colors respectively. The book follows thief Felix Lamar, who is contacted by his estranged grandmother Kitty Midnight about a major score. Morgan Beem, Alex Moore, Veronica Fish, and Sweeney Boo will all provide variant covers. Issue #1 is set to hit shelves this May.

– Vincente Cifuentes’s horror graphic novel “Murdervale” will be available for the first time in English from Dark Horse Books. Originally published in three volumes by SAF Comics, the book follows a couple vacationing in a town so remote it isn’t even on the map. As they begin to suspect something is wrong, the husband begins having hallucinations from a new medication. It will be available in bookstores on September 19, and comics shops the following day.

– Opus Comics announced “Frank Frazetta’s Mothman,” based on the painting of the same name, and inspired by the West Virginia cryptid of legend. Tim Hendrick (Avatar: The Last Airbender) will script with Andrea Mutti (“British Paranormal Society”) providing art. The first issue drops in May. In time for what would have been Frank Frazetta’s 95th birthday, the publisher also teamed with GlobalComix, releasing “Frank Frazetta’s Death Dealer” and “Frank Frazetta’s Dawn Attack” in a downloadable format yesterday.

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures will premiere on Disney+ and Disney Junior this this Star Wars Day (May the Fourth). The preschool show follows a group of younglings during the High Republic era, as they use their Force abilities to help those in need while studying under Master Yoda. The show’s cast, which was also just confirmed, includes Jamaal Avery Jr. as Kai Brightstar, Juliet Donenfeld as Lys Solay, Dee Bradley Baker as Nubs, Emma Berman as Nash Durango, Jonathan Lipow as RJ-83, and Piotr Michael as Master Yoda.

– Lucasfilm also announced books for the show, including June’s “Young Jedi Adventures: My First Comic Reader Level 1,” by an unannounced creative team; and “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi – Lando” #1. Written by Stephanie Phillips with art by Álvaro López, the one-shot will mark May’s installment of Marvel’s 40th anniversary Return of the Jedi one-shots, following March’s “Jabba’s Palace” and April’s “Ewoks.”

Variety reports that a live-action Spider-Man Noir series is in development at Amazon. This will be the second Sony-controlled Marvel property produced for Amazon, with Silk: Spider Society also currently in development for Prime Video. Oren Uriel, who is developing the show alongside former Sony boss Amy Paschal, as well as Into the Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, will write. All four will executive produce.

– DC revealed footage and release date details for Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part One. The animated film sees the DC heroes find themselves magically transported to the land of Remnant (and deaged), where they join forces with Team RWBY to take on the Grimm. The movie will be released on digital, 4K, Blu-Ray, and streaming on April 25, and you can watch the trailer here.

– The live-action Faith movie, part of Paramount’s Valiant Cinematic Universe, now has a writer. Pacific Rim: Uprising and Jurassic World: Dominion screenwriter Emily Carmichael will handle scripting duties. The character is also set to star in the VCU/Paramount’s Harbinger, directed by Paul Downs Colaizzo. Faith, secret identity journalist Summer Smith, was created in 1992 by Jim Shooter and David Lapham.

– Finally, Archie creative officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s father Francisco has returned to the US after being released from prison in Nicaragua this week. Francisco Aguirre-Sacasa, a former member of the Nicaraguan government and a critic of President Daniel Ortega, was detained on the country’s border with Costa Rica in August 2021; he was among 222 political prisoners sent to the US yesterday morning. Roberto described his father’s return to a miracle to Deadline, stating “I guess the United States and Nicaragua have been having conversations for a while about this, but we were unaware of the behind-the-scenes machinations taking place.”
