– “Scalped” by Jason Aaron and R.M. Guéra has long been in development with WGN America. The production has announced Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi as directors for the pilot episode. The pair are best known for their Drama series Black which took home the Discovery Award at the 2015 Toronto Film Festival. Additionally, the project has confirmed that it will feature a predominantly Native American cast.
– Marvel recently announced the main cast for Runaways, their new Hulu series based around six children of supervillains. Well, those supervillains have also been cast, led by Buffy the Vampire Slayer star James Marsters and Alias alum Kevin Weisman.
– While it was most likely presumed, it is now official: Michael Douglas will return as Hank Pym in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
– Missing no more? Dan Jurgens current “Action Comics” writer teases the return of fan favourite time-travelling, self-promoting machine Booster Gold. Gold, last seen in the pages of “Convergence,” hasn’t been seen in modern day DC continuity since 2012, only popping up in the past (in the pages of “All-Star Western”) or in alternate dimensions (like “Convergence.”)
– Lion Forge, following teasers of their new superhero universe, announced their new title “Superb” by written by David F. Walker and Sheena C Howard, with art by Ray-Anthony Height, Le Beau Underwood and Veronica Gandini.
– To mark the first day of shooting Avengers: Infinity War Marvel Studios have released a production video to showcase the story so far, what is going into Avengers: Infinity War, and how everyone is treating the movie.
– Even though its third tier stars are railing against the films, DC is still attracting a lot of actors who want in on their cinematic universe. Members of both Riverdale and Game of Thrones have expressed interest in joining the Bat-side of the DCEU, which is very up in the air due to the recent directorial shakeup of The Batman
– Warner Bros is facing a lawsuit by the composers of the Lucifer theme song. The composers filed the suit on the grounds of Warner Bros not providing credit nor compensation for the use of the theme song.
– Like a leaf in the wind, the rumours and hope continue. Citing the success of recent revivals/ reboots of Gimore Girls, Twin Peaks, Fuller House, 24, X-files, and Prison Break, Fox are said be discussing a return of Firefly. The matter was discussed at a recent executive panel, where Fox President of Programming said any efforts would require Joss Whedon.
