– The print collection of the webcomic “Warm Blood,” originally published on Webtoon, now has a release date. Publisher Buño Books has announced that “Warm Blood: Volume One” will hit shelves on May 15. Created by Josh Tierney and featuring a variety of artists, the series follows Penny, a quiet girl with dreams of becoming a video game developer, who must contend with a string of bizarre murders, potentially evil twins, and rumors of shadow monsters as she navigates her first year at Greenwood High. “Warm Blood: Volume One” is currently available for pre-order.

– The voice cast for Kevin Smith’s upcoming animated series Masters of the Universe: Revelation on Netflix has been revealed, and it’s full of all-stars. Via The Hollywood Reporter, the headliners are Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Chris Wood as Prince Adam/He-Man, and Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela. A full cast list was released on Twitter, confirming big names like Liam Cunningham, Alicia Silverstone, Kevin Conroy, Diedrich Bader, Phil LaMarr, Justin Long, and Griffin Newman. Smith’s longtime collaborator Jason Mewes will voice Stinkor. The release date for Masters of the Universe: Revelation has yet to be announced.

– DC’s May solicitations, released on Friday, held several surprise announcements:

  • G. Willow Wilson and Nick Robles are taking over ‘The Sandman Universe’ series “The Dreaming” for the 12-issue maxiseries “The Dreaming: Waking Hours,” which will see a nightmare created by Dream escaping into the waking world.
  • The current run of “Supergirl” will be concluding with issue #42. DC has not commented on the series’ cancellation, and there is currently no announcement on whether a new series will launch following the finale.
  • Marc Andreyko will be joined by artist Renato Guedes for the five-issue miniseries “Manhunters: The Secret History.” The series will follow Kate Spencer–the Manhunter who was co-created by Andreyko–as she digs into a conspiracy in the aftermath of last year’s “Event Leviathan.”
  • Finally, a five-issue “Man-Bat” miniseries from writer Dave Wielgosz and artist Sumit Kumar will see Kirk Langstrom returning to his classic monstrous shenanigans following his heroic stint as a member of Justice League Dark.
  • We’ll have more on DC’s May releases in next week’s Soliciting Multiversity column.

    – In news that should excite fans of the show Lucifer (Lucifans?), TVLine is reporting that Netflix is in talks to extend the show beyond its previously announced fifth and final season. This would mark the second resurrection of the show, which was initially cancelled after three seasons on Fox before being picked up by Netflix. Netflix has yet to publicly comment on the news of a possible season six. Season five, meanwhile, will be released in two separate eight-episode chunks. The exact premiere date has not yet been announced.

    – Syfy’s upcoming adaptation Vagrant Queen is set to premiere on March 27, as announced on Twitter. The series is an adaptation of Magdalene Visaggio and Jason Smith’s Vault Comics series of the same name. Syfy also premiered the first full trailer for the series, which follows a dethroned queen on the run from revolutionaries who want to finish the job.

    – Via Variety, Jude Law will be teaming up with newly minted Oscar-winner Taika Waititi for the Showtime limited series The Auteur, based on the Oni Press comic by James Callahan and Rick Spears. The original comic follows producer Nathan T. Rex on a depraved quest to revive his career after the biggest bomb in Hollywood history. Variety is reporting that Law will play an “eccentric auteur.” Both Law and Waititi will executive produce the series, and Waititi is also expected to direct some episodes. It is unknown when the show will go into production, given that Waititi is currently editing his Jojo Rabbit follow-up Next Goal Wins and will be commencing production on Thor: Love and Thunder later this year.
