— Image Comics announced “That Texas Blood,” a new ongoing series by artist Jacob Phillips and writer Chris Condon launching this May. Described as “True Grit meets Breaking Bad,” the neo-Western crime series follows Sheriff Joe Bob Coates as he tries to right the wrongs of an increasingly criminal world. The first issue is available May 27.

— IDW’s “Star Wars Adventures” is relaunching this May with new stories set after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Issue #1 will feature a story focused on Rey, Poe, and Finn, who apparently aren’t quite yet done fighting the First Order, as well as an all-new story about IG-88 from The Empire Strikes Back.

— Bad Idea is increasing its first wave of participating retailers from 20 to 50, according to a press release. The new publisher will release its debut series, “ENIAC” by Matt Kindt and Doug Braithwaite, on May 6.

— ComicBook.com has an exclusive look at the cast for Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. It includes Matt Ryan as Constantine, Jerry O’Connell as Superman, Taissa Farmiga as Raven, and a whole lot more.

— According to The Hollywood Reporter, director J.D. Dillard (Sleight, Sweetheart) and writer Matt Owens (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Luke Cage) are developing a new Star Wars project. There are no details yet, including whether or not the story is being adapted for theaters or Disney+.

— It was revealed that the Harley Quinn animated series will return for season 2 on April 3. Head on over to Twitter to check out the trailer.

— BOOM! Studios President of Development Stephen Christy tweeted a picture of Noelle Stevenson pitching what appears to be a “Lumberjanes” animated show. There’s no official confirmation or details yet on the project, but fans are pretty excited.

— Finally, HBO has decided that Watchmen will compete as a limited series in all major categories for the Emmy Awards, including series, acting, writing, and directing. The series has already drummed up several prestigious awards over the past several months, and the move by HBO is sure to influence the Emmy race.
