– Marvel announced writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson and artist Nic Klein will relaunch “The Incredible Hulk” in June. Taking the character back to his horror roots, the series picks up with the Hulk trying to take full control of his and Bruce Banner’s body after the events of Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley’s run. However, when “a mysterious immortal turns every monster in the Marvel Universe against Banner in an attempt to free their creator, the primordial Mother of Horrors,” the pair, plus “an unlikely new friend,” will have to work together “to stop the world from getting plunged into darkness!” Issue #1 will be released on June 21, shortly after Ottley’s “Hulk” concludes with issue #14 in April.

– As teased last week, “Dracula, Motherf**ker” writer Alex de Campi and artist Erica Henderson are reteaming for “Parasocial,” a psychological thriller releasing from Image Comics this October. The OGN is set early on in the pandemic, and sees a “fading genre-TV actor, fresh from his long-running series’ cancellation, [collide] with an obsessive fan at a Texas convention. When she lures him to her home, he’ll have to put on the greatest performance of his life simply to survive until morning. Unless, of course, he’s the real monster…”

– Marvel marked International Women’s Day by releasing MPower, a four-part documentary about the women of the MCU on Disney+. Produced by Zoe Saldana, each episode respectively focuses on the women of Wakanda, Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch, and Saldana’s very own Gamora. Disneyland Paris similarly marked the day by launching a Women of Marvel exhibit at Disney Hotel New York, which will run until April 20.

– Hasan Minhaj will reprise the role of the Riddler from the Spotify podcast drama Batman Unburied in The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark. Unburied writer David S. Goyer will return to oversee the spin-off, which will see Edward Nygma team-up with the Dark Knight against a new vigilante. It was not stated if Winston Duke, who played Batman in Unburied, or any of the other previous cast members will return. The Riddler: Secrets in the Dark will be released sometime later this year.

– Warner Bros. announced a newly restored version of the Fleischer brothers’ Superman shorts will be released digitally and on Blu-ray on May 16. The collection, titled Max Fleischer’s Superman 1941-1943, features true HD versions of all 17 animated short films, made from 4K scans of the original 35mm negatives. An official HD version of the films were previously only available on DC Universe Infinite, before it became a comics-only subscription service.

Supergirl star Melissa Benoist will replace Sarah Michelle Gellar as the voice of Teela in Masters of the Universe: Revolution, the sequel to Kevin Smith and Netflix’s previous MOTU miniseries, Masters of the Universe: Revelation. It was not stated why the role was recast, although Benoist’s husband, Chris Wood (who also played Mon-El), is set to return as He-Man/Prince Adam. Revolution will be released sometime in 2024.

– Finally, The Flash star Grant Gustin announced he has finished filming the series, posting a clip of himself hanging up the suit for the last time. He wrote on Instagram, “I said goodbye to The Flash and my Flash family on Saturday. Very special day, with moments I will cherish for the rest of my life. My family got to see my last shot as The Flash – that’s something I could’ve never imagined nearly 10 years ago when I started this journey.” Gustin, 33, first portrayed Barry Allen on the second season of Arrow in 2013, and his final appearance is set to air on Wednesday, May 24. The ninth and final season of The Flash is now airing on The CW, with a UK premiere now set for Tuesday, March 21.
