In case you missed it, DC announced two titles for Pride Month, “DC Pride” and “Crush & Lobo;” Dark Horse announced “Falconspeare” and “The Worst Dudes;” and Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment announced “The Six Sidekicks of Trigger Keaton.” We also have an exclusive preview of Marvel’s “S.W.O.R.D.” #4.

– DC Comics announced “Batman: The Adventures Continue Season II.” Alan Burnett, Paul Dini, Ty Templeton and Monica Kubina will return to Batman: The Animated Series‘ Gotham, where Batman must team-up with Deadman to take on the Court of Owls. “Batman: The Adventures Continue Season II” will have digital chapters publishing biweekly beginning May 6, 2021 on participating platforms. It will arrive in comic shops on June 1, 2021 with a cover by Riley Rossmo, and a card stock variant cover by Andrew MacLean.

– Via Newsarama, DC announced “Wonder Woman: Black and Gold,” a six-issue anthology series to mark the character’s 80th anniversary. Like “Batman: Black and White” and “Superman: Red and Blue,” the only color the black-and-white comic will use is gold, as a nod to Diana’s Lasso of Truth. The 40-page first issue will feature stories by John Arcudi and Ryan Sook, current “Wonder Woman” writer Becky Cloonan, Amy Reeder, AJ Mendez Brooks and Ming Doyle, and Nadia Shammas and Morgan Beem. It goes on sale June 22, 2021.

– Also via Newsarama, actor Camrus Johnson, aka Luke Fox on the CW’s Batwoman series, is crossing over to the DC comic book universe as the writer of an “action-packed” Luke Fox story in June’s “Batman: Urban Legends” #4. The story will be drawn by Marcus To and Eber Ferriera. Other stories include Matthew Rosenberg and Ryan Benjamin’s penultimate Grifter story, the continuation of the Batman/Red Hood story by Chip Zdarsky and Eddy Barrows, and a Tim Drake story by Meghan Fitzmartin with artist Belén Ortega. Artist Jorge Molina provides the cover, along with variant covers by Dustin Nguyen and Irvin Rodrigues. “Batman: Urban Legends” #4 goes on sale June 8, 2021.

– Image Comics announced “Kane and Able,” an oversized anthology from Shaky Kane and Krent Able. Image’s description reads, “Readers will slip in and out of subconsciousness with the ‘Astonishing Shield Bug,’ surf the Fleshwave with Black Fur in ‘Who Fears The Deathroach?,’ journey into the sub-basement in the gasoline-tinged ‘Dustmites,’ and ride into the Creepzone with Nightmare and Sleepy in the aptly named ‘Creepzone.'” The original graphic novel will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.

– Via PR Newswire, Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) announced the launch of Relative Fiction, a new podcast series based on writer and illustrator Nicole Georges’s award-winning 2013 graphic memoir, “Calling Dr. Laura.” This six-episode series is narrated by Georges herself, and features interviews with family, therapists, and psychics. Throughout the series, listeners will be immersed in her investigation, the stories she was told, and the roller coaster of belief and identity she went through in the process. Relative Fiction launches March 29, 2021.

– Deadline reports that Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s Westbrook Studios have optioned the rights to the graphic novel “Canto,” and are adapting it as an animated feature. “Canto” co-creator and writer David M. Booher is set to pen the screenplay, and will executive produce the project alongside co-creator and series illustrator Drew Zucker. Westbrook Studios Co-President and Head of Motion Pictures Jon Mone will produce. Ryan Shimazaki will oversee the project on behalf of Westbrook Studios.

– Via The Hollywood Reporter, Kiersey Clemons has closed a deal to star opposite Ezra Miller in Warner Bros.’ DC movie The Flash. The actress will reprise her role as Iris West, the romantic interest of Barry Allen, aka The Flash. Clemons portrayed the intrepid reporter West in Justice League, but her role was cut by director Zack Snyder back in 2017 before he turned the film over to Joss Whedon. Snyder added her character back in recently for his upcoming cut, which debuts on HBO Max on March 18, 2021. The Flash also stars Michael Keaton as Batman. Andy Muschietti is directing from a screenplay written by Christina Hodson.

– Finally, Variety reports that Lizze Broadway (The Rookie) and Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) have joined the ensemble cast of an untitled The Boys spinoff. Set at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (and run by Vought International), the series is described as an irreverent, R-rated show that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Broadway will play Emma, a young superhero, and Sinclair will play another superhero named Marie.
